Almost two months have passed since we deployed the first VehicleCounter at Palazzo Medici Riccardi (remember?). The first few weeks we had to do a little bug fixing, try some configurations, set up data transfer… but you know? That very first VehicleCounter scored a new uptime record, being up and running without intervention since more than a month ago!
And that’s not all. Less than a month ago we started sending data from our VehicleCounter sensors directly to a public CouchDB that we use as a data collector. The sensor in Palazzo Medici Riccardi was obviously the first to start feeding our CouchDB installation, but in the next three weeks we added four other sensors, and this is what we got by querying the database today:
More than a million passages counted! To celebrate, we are going to add counters to the website to report a few aggregated data in real time!
